Word Wheel

Eight letters — seven on the wheel, one in the amber centre — and as many words as you can wring out of them. There’s no timer and no way to lose: just a score, a rank to climb, and one wheel shared by everyone, fresh at midnight UTC.

   Build words

   Tap letters on the wheel or simply type. Words must be at least four letters long, and you can reuse any letter as often as you like — the wheel shows which letters are allowed, not how many times.

   Always use the centre

   Every word must contain the amber centre letter. That single rule does most of the pruning: with A in the centre below, RATING counts but TIGER doesn’t — all its letters are on the wheel, yet no A.

   Score points

   Short words keep you moving; long ones move the needle. A word using all eight letters is a pangram and earns a +8 bonus on top of its length — every wheel has at least one.

   Climb the ranks

   Your score is measured against the wheel’s maximum, and the rank bar walks you from Beginner up to Genius at seventy percent. Find every word and the day ends on Full Wheel. Progress saves on its own, so you can graze all day — and the day’s best score keeps yours honest.
