A compact daily crossword against the clock. Every white square belongs to an Across answer and a Down answer, and the numbered clues tell you what goes where. Everyone races the same grid, refreshed at midnight UTC.

   Type your answers

   Click a square and type — the highlighted run shows which answer you’re filling, and its clue is pinned above the grid. Click the square again (or press space) to flip between Across and Down; the crossing answer lights up instead.

   Navigate quickly

   The whole puzzle is playable without touching the mouse — and when a clue stumps you, tap any clue in the list to jump straight to its squares.

   Check your work

   The Check button flags every wrong letter with a red slash — it costs nothing but pride. Retype a flagged square and the mark clears. The puzzle completes the moment the last correct letter lands.

   Race the clock

   The timer starts when you press Play and pauses whenever you leave the tab, so a coffee break doesn’t cost you. Finish, and your time lines up against today’s best.
